Cross-country breadth

The rule
A concept is a candidate here when the registry holds a live series for it in more than one economy — a series is not an economy and a scope like world or a currency pair is not one either, the same distinction the coverage table uses. A concept often holds more than one live series for the same economy — consumer-price-level carries seven US variants — so before anything else runs, exactly one series per economy is selected: the live series with the earliest first observation (the longest record behind it), ties broken by the lexicographically smallest series id. For each selected series, the reading is its latest observation's percentile within its own trailing 10-year window — the exact rule /ranked uses for one economy at a time, applied here per country. A reading at or above the 80th percentile is a top-tail reading; at or below the 20th, a bottom-tail reading. A concept held for exactly one economy has any tail reading suppressed rather than counted — one economy is a reading, not breadth.
Every concept needs at least 4 economies with a rankable reading in the same calendar-month bucket before breadth is published; short of that, the concept states the count and minimum. The bucket is the month most held readings share. Calendar boundaries are necessarily coarse: readings one day apart across a month end do not align, while readings farther apart within one month do. Each excluded member's exact date and computed bucket are shown so that boundary is visible.
This is enumeration, not attribution: two economies in the same tail in the same month coincide, in the literal sense, and the reader decides what that means. The full rule, with a recompute button, is entry cross-country-breadth in the claims ledger.
Every value above is the latest record for its date, not a point-in-time reconstruction — a percentile computed here for a past date would use that date's value as it reads today, revisions included. The underlying API refuses an as_of or vintage query rather than silently answering a different question than the one asked; see per-series vintage reads for a real point-in-time archive.
